Nina Bartholomew

She/Her

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR & LEAD TEACHER/GUIDE

Hi, I’m Nina Bartholomew. In 2020, I started Little Garden Montessori to address the lack of resources for primary-aged children during the pandemic. Nearly five years later, we have five teachers, office staff, full enrollment, and a thriving community. Creating a school I wished for my children has been a dream come true. I am grateful to get to do what I love everyday.

Erica Pagan

She/Her

LEAD TEACHER/ GUIDE

Hi, I’m Erica Pagan. I was born in NYC and grew up in Hopewell Junction. This will be my third year teaching. I joined Little Garden when it opened, left to continue my education, and now I’m returning full-time this fall. As a child, I wanted to be a chef. I loved playing “kitchen” and helping my mom cook for our family.

Hi, I’m Lindsay Amondi, born in Carmel, NY. I've been an educator for 23 years, with the past three years spent at Little Garden Montessori. Ever since I was a child, I dreamt of becoming a veterinarian and then a teacher, and I’m grateful to be living out one of those dreams every day.

Debbie Colon

TEACHER/ GUIDE, Specializing in Literacy

Hi, I’m Debbie Colon. I was born in the Bronx, NY. I've been teaching for a total of 32 years, spending 28 years in NYC and the past 4 years at Little Garden Montessori. As a child, I dreamt of becoming a stewardess or a teacher. I am deeply passionate about guiding children through the beginning stages of their education, fully aware of the significant impact this can have on their future. I consider it a privilege to help shape their early learning experiences and do not take this responsibility for granted.

Melanie Sanchez

She/ Her

TEACHER/ GUIDE

Hi, I’m Melanie Sanchez. I was born in Poughkeepsie, but you might notice my Philly accent, thanks to my family roots! This is my fourth year teaching, and I’ve had the pleasure of being part of Little Garden Montessori twice—first for a year before taking a break to further my education. Now, with the school expanding, I’m back full-time and couldn't be happier to be reunited with my LGM family.

Tedi Plate

She/Her

DIRECTOR OF GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Hi, I’m Tedi Plate. I grew up in Southern California and have lived in New York for 14 years, where I've truly found my home. I began my journey with LGM as a parent, witnessing firsthand the positive impact the school had on my son. This inspired me to join LGM and assist with back-of-house duties. I handle much of the parent communication, marketing, enrollment, and any other needs the school may have. I firmly believe in the power of the community we’ve built at LGM and take great pride in supporting it in every way I can.
